Huge Tragedy for Katy Perry

Katy Perry took to social media to express her grief over the death of her manager, Martin Kirkup. Sharing heartfelt photos of herself with him, the singer paid tribute to the man who played a significant role in her career.

In her Instagram post, Katy revealed that Martin, despite his disdain for social media, was someone she felt compelled to talk about. She wrote, “It took me a while to make this post… something about posting it makes it all feel final…”

HUGE TRAGEDY. Katy Perry is in shock. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing

Describing Martin as a special person in her life, Katy expressed her belief that people don’t truly die, but rather move on to the next world. She also highlighted Martin’s role as one of her bosses at Direct Management for nearly 20 years. He was a leader who always emphasized the importance of data, facts, and science.

Expressing gratitude for her incredible team, Katy acknowledged their continuous support and dedication in fighting for her voice to be heard. Martin, in particular, helped her feel safe and worked hard to ensure she received what she deserved.

Just days before his passing, Martin had the opportunity to listen to some of Katy’s new music. Katy cherished this moment and was glad she could make him proud.

While Katy and Martin didn’t get to say a physical goodbye, she knows deep down that he is aware of how much she respected and admired him. Memories of his hearty chuckles and sharp wit will forever echo in her mind.

Martin Kirkup leaves behind his wife, Lale Kirkup, his daughter Melisa Kirkup Blatt, his son John Kirkup, and three grandchildren, Sam, Abigail, and Ivy. They will surely miss him dearly.

In other news, Katy Perry announced that she will be leaving American Idol after six years as a judge. The singer shared her decision on Jimmy Kimmel Live, revealing her desire to focus on creating new music and exploring the world.

Although Katy expressed her love for the show and the connection it allowed her to have with the heart of America, she now wants to feel her own heartbeat. She explained, “I love the show so much, but I wanna go and see the world and maybe bring new music.”

Exciting things are on the horizon for Katy Perry. In September, she will be performing at Rock in Rio, a renowned music festival in Brazil. Her fans, particularly those in Brazil, are eagerly anticipating her upcoming music.

With rumors swirling about a new album in the works, Katy’s fans have long been hoping for fresh music from their favorite pop star. The singer’s recent Instagram post, featuring her in a stunning black dress adorned with silver butterfly pins, has only fueled the anticipation.
