It appears that no one is safe from unpleasant remarks on the internet these days, especially female celebrities.

Cher lately became the subject of admirers and internet trolls who couldn’t stop writing rude and unhelpful things about her age.

Fans voiced concern over the renowned singer’s mobility when she made a public appearance following her involvement in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Cher sang ‘DJ Play a Christmas Song,’ her tune that debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales list in October 2023, on the parade route.

In a recent Billboard interview, she stated that her holiday songs, which Mariah Carey has also become well-known for, are not technically “Christmas Christmas” songs, but rather “just great songs.”

Cher was seen exiting the hotel where she was staying after her performance. Elder Ordonez, an entertainment photographer, posted a video on Instagram of the ‘Believe’ hitmaker dressed all in black with matching boots, escorted by a bodyguard to a waiting car.

“Cher is seen leaving her Hotel just hours after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City this afternoon,” the photo’s description said.

Some Instagram users commented on the photo, expressing concern over Cher appearing to have difficulties walking.

“Wow, she can’t move, maybe it’s the boots…,” one observer said.

“How old is she now?” someone else asked. She is unable to walk.”

Many admirers, however, backed the singer, with one user writing: “She’s 77 years old!!! Let’s see how well you walk at her age, if at all.”

Cher has already addressed aging on social media, asking on X (now Twitter) when she will start to feel her age. “OK,Would Someone […] PLEASE Tell Me…..”When Will I Begin to Feel Old? This is absurd […] “I keep hearing these numbers, but I honestly don’t understand them [sic],” she said in part of a tweet.

Then, in September, Cher appeared on Good Morning Britain, when she admitted that it hadn’t yet dawned on her that she was getting older. “I just can’t believe that I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish,” she went on to say.

Despite her age, she declared that she planned to keep wearing jeans and having her stunning long hair. Cher just stated that she has wonderful genetics in her family when questioned about her secret to appearing young.

I don’t know about you, but I hope I’m in as good shape as Cher by the time I’m her age!
